The short version
- AllergenLens is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement if you get it from the App Store, or under the Google Play Terms of Service if you get it from Google Play, together with these terms.
- AllergenLens helps you read food labels. It is not medical advice, it can miss things, and you should always read the label yourself.
- AllergenLens Plus subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play settings.
Always read the label
AllergenLens can miss things. It is not medical advice. Read the label on the package yourself, and follow your doctor’s plan if you have a severe allergy.
1. Agreement
AllergenLens is provided by FightTech (“FightTech”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using AllergenLens, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the terms of the store you got it from:
- if you downloaded AllergenLens from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”);
- if you downloaded AllergenLens from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service.
These terms add to those. For App Store downloads, if anything in these terms conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA prevails. If you don’t agree, please don’t use AllergenLens.
2. What AllergenLens does
AllergenLens reads the ingredients and allergen statements on packaged food labels and highlights text that matches the allergens, diets and ingredients in your profile. It has no account.
3. Not medical advice
AllergenLens is an informational tool. It is not a medical device and not medical, dietary or nutritional advice, and it doesn’t replace reading the label or the advice of your doctor or allergist.
- AllergenLens can miss things. Text can be misread, labels can be incomplete, damaged or out of date, recipes and factories change, and cross-contact isn’t always declared.
- A result of “Not found in the text we read” means only that nothing from your profile was matched in the text that was read. It says nothing about what the food contains beyond that text.
- Always read the label on the package yourself before eating, and contact the manufacturer when you are unsure.
- If you have a severe allergy, follow your doctor’s allergy action plan. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
4. Your data
Your profiles and scans are stored on your device, and you are responsible for them. Because we don’t hold a copy, we can’t restore them if you delete the app or lose your device. How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Free and Plus
The core AllergenLens app is free and includes one profile, unlimited scans and every warning. AllergenLens Plus adds family profiles, scan history and saved products, and travel allergy cards in 9 languages. Plus is available as:
- Yearly — US$14.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible users.
- Monthly — US$2.99 per month. New subscribers pay US$1.49 per month for the first 3 months.
- Lifetime — US$29.99, a one-time purchase that doesn’t renew.
Warnings are never behind a paywall: every result state and highlight is free.
Prices can differ by country or region. The store shows the price in your local currency, which may include taxes.
6. Subscriptions, trials and billing
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- If you start the 7-day free trial, the yearly subscription begins and is charged when the trial ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then. Trial eligibility is determined by the store.
- If you subscribe monthly with the introductory offer, you pay the introductory price for the first 3 months and the regular monthly price after that, unless you cancel. Each introductory offer can be used once per account.
- Purchases are tied to your Apple ID or Google account and can be restored on devices signed in to the same account.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. For App Store purchases, you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, see Google Play’s refund help.
7. Acceptable use
Use AllergenLens only for lawful, personal purposes and as allowed by the store terms above. Don’t attempt to copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, or to get around its purchase or security features, except where the law expressly allows it.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
AllergenLens is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to make it accurate and reliable, but we don’t promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will find every allergen or ingredient on a label, or that any label is complete or correct. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FightTech is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of AllergenLens. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be limited by agreement.
9. Changes
We may update AllergenLens and these terms from time to time. When we change these terms, we’ll update the effective date above, and for significant changes we’ll give notice on this page or in the app. If you keep using AllergenLens after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
